Bethesda began in Dinas Powys on November 15th 1925, when a group of Christians met, and used the yard of a greengrocer shop in Cardiff Road, Eastbrook to hold services.
Older residents of Dinas Powys may remember the "green wooden hut" sited on Cardiff Road by Perclose.
In 1964 the Church moved to the present site here in Fairoaks and some of our existing members were involved with the building work at that time. Over the years the Church has been extended, and we believe it plays an important part in the life of the local community. The building includes a 'not for profit' Coffee Shop, Sports Hall and has other function rooms plus the Chapel area where we hold Services each week.
The Church is made up of people with many different backgrounds, but with one thing in common; we have found a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who has changed our lives.
We realise that there is more to being a Christian than attending Church, behaving religiously and trying to do our best.
We have discovered that God is alive , and by faith in Jesus Christ can live in each us , be with us, and for us.........he is interested in all aspects of our lives !
Bethesda is an independent and financially self supporting Church, with no direct affiliation to any other Churches.
