First things first….
It’s important to understand that Christianity is not about a Religion, it’s about a Relationship with our creator, God. Our Statement of Faith gives a full version of the basis of out beliefs, which are founded not on folklore, tradition or church denomination but on the truths found in the Bible. The way to becoming a Christian requires faith on your part. The Bible tells us “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11 verse 16)

The Bible teaches us that the steps to becoming a Christian require you to do the following:

Admit…..That  all of us ( and that includes you!) have deliberately done wrong things in our lives (the Bible calls this Sin), which a Holy God  cannot tolerate and deserves the  punishment of separation from a relationship with Him.

​

Believe…That God, In the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, came to take the punishment we deserve for our wrongdoings upon himself, by laying down his life, by dying for the world...and that means you too. The Easter message is that  God raised Jesus from the dead, enabling each of us, through faith, to have a new life and purposeful relationship with Him.

Commit… If you Admit and Believe, you can have confidence to Commit your life to Jesus and join millions around the world who have taken this life transforming step and have the joy and certainty of everlasting life and a home in heaven when you die.

 

Pray to God… You can use your own words, but you may find the following helpful:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour. Amen
